MODS and Rockers descended on a Benfleet pub to raise cash for charity.

The Hoy and Helmet hosted the themed charity event in aid of Canvey’s Indee Rose Trust.

Scooter and motorcycle clubs visited and exhibited their vehicles and local bands and musicians played on the outside stage.

The headlining Sixties cover band, the 60 Beats, got the crowd going before they danced the night away to a Fifties, Sixties and Seventies themed disco.

Bands and musicians supporting the main act were the Ends, the Long Run, the Rundowns, Figures, Ashley Chittock, And These Shores and Adam Duffill.

There was also an outside bar, barbecue, fancy dress, children’s entertainment and raffle.

Organisers thanked the Leigh Beck Junior School who provided the stage for the event.

The Indee Rose Trust was founded in 2009 after the death of three-year-old Indee Rose Jopson, from Canvey. It aims to help children and their families who have been diagnosed with a brain or spinal tumour. It provides treasure boxes to children who have been hospitalised while receiving treatment.

The charity can also give a one-off grant to help the families. For more information go to www.
