Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed by a gang of his wallet on Friday evening.
The victim was walking down Leamington Road, Southend, between 5pm and 8pm when he was approached by a group of five men before he was hit over the head with a weapon.
The group, who are all described as black males in their early 20s, then took a wallet from the man before running off.
The victim was left with cuts to his head and other minor injuries.
