A VARIETY show is set to raise money for a children’s charity, Share, in Basildon.
Fundraiser Joe Lazarus, 71, of Fairmead, Basildon, is holding the show with singers and musicians at the Edge pub, on High Pavement, on Thursday, April 5.
The charity, which helps children with disabilities, will be using any money raised to build up the soft play area within the centre and to add to its sensory equipment.
Michelle Westenhofer, manager of the centre, in the Fryth, said: “I am really pleased Joe wants to fundraise for us, it’s a lovely gesture. We are always looking for sponsors because we are a charity. The money will go towards improving the equipment we have at our very busy centre.”
Tickets are £10 and it runs from 7.30pm until 11.30pm.
Mr Lazarus added: “It’s a great honour for me to be fundraising again for Share. Every penny will be going to the charity.”
