CON artists are targeting motorists using the A127 as part of a scam.
Several motorists have been flagged down in recent weeks on the A127 at the junction for the B148 at Dunton.
The tricksters claim they have run out of petrol and offer to sell gold in exchange for money to buy fuel.
It is thought the gold being offered is stolen or fake.
