A BUNCH of top comedians are heading for the Cliffs Pavilion.
Jack Dee, Alan Davies, Frankie Boyle and Michael McIntyre have all announced dates at the venue in Station Road, Westcliff.
McIntyre will be there on August 10 and 11, with only a couple of hundred tickets remaining, despite them going on sale just last week.
Boyle will appear on October 21 and November 25, Davies on November 3 and Dee on December 5.
Last week, the Echo reported how dates for Micky Flanagan, in February next year, were announced – and sold out within days.
Paul Driscoll, marketing manager at the Cliffs, described the line-up as “good for us and Southend”, adding: “We are absolutely delighted.
“People need light relief at the moment with all the financial woes. They just want to forgot all their worries and laugh their socks off, which is why comedy acts are popular right now.”
