TWO fire crews were called to a fire at a fish and chip shop in Stanford-le-Hope.
Crews from Corringham and Orsett rushed to the scene after reports of a fire at Golden Fish Bar in King Street just after 6.30pm on Friday (May 25).
A 48-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation and she was placed in the care of the ambulance service.
The fire was the extraction system of the shop and it took the firefighters an hour to put out the blaze.
