DANCERS from Basildon will be flying the flag for Britain at the world and European championships.
The under-12s group, called Perplex, from IB Dance Studios, in Church Road, has qualified for the European event in Slovenia and the world championship in Germany.
The street dance crew got the nod after taking the British title during an event at the O2.
The group is made up of three boys and four girls, aged between 9 and 11.
Carlie Boler, who runs the dance studio, said: “They are working so hard, and are a great asset to my dance school and to the younger students.
“We really try to create something for the kids and are working towards something I know will be great. We are lucky we have such great tutorship here, so the children are growing as dancers every day.
“They are all so excited about the competitions.”
The competitions take place later this year.
