A windsurfer who was spotted in choppy waters off the Chalkwell coast made it back to shore safely.
Southend Coastguard received a call from a concerned member of the public at about 1.30pm on Friday who believed the surfer was struggling in the conditions.
However, the male was able to return back to the shore unaided with the coastguard team ensuring his wellbeing.
