A TEENAGER has been charged with possession of cannabis after police raided a Laindon home following reports of a disturbance.
Police attended an address in Merrylands at 2.45pm yesterday and arrested Malacai Yaxley, 19, on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of cannabis.
He was taken to Basildon police station for questioning and was subsequently charged with possession of cannabis.
No further action will be taken on the suspected firearms offence.
Yaxley, of Merrylands, has been bailed to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 22.
Police are continuing to investigate the initial disturbance and are seeking three men, one black and two white, who are believed to have left the scene before officers arrived.
