A MOPED rider was left with serious leg injuries following a crash in Great Wakering.
The crash happened at 5.30pm yesterday just outside the Co-op in the High Street.
The rider, a 26-year-old man from the Southend area, was airlifted to Southend Hospital. He was later transferred to the Royal London Hospital. He is in a serious but stable condition.
Police said the crash was between a red Ford Fiesta and a black Lexmoto moped.
Anyone who witnessed the crash should contact Sgt Mark York-Waide at the Laindon Response and Patrol Unit on 101.
