SOUTHEND Hospital is still closed to visitors to try to contain an outbreak of a contagious bug.
Visitors have not been allowed on to wards to see patients since Thursday evening.
The hospital has a number of wards affected by the winter vomiting bug norovirus.
The situation is being reviewed daily by health bosses.
