DEMONSTRATORS stopped the traffic along Southend seafront to protest about the dangers of crossing a new shared space meant for cars and pedestrians.
Campaigners laid a temporary zebra crossing in Marine Parade.
Police stopped the traffic as the group helped people to cross for about ten minutes.
