LETTER: Climate change protestors who block roads cause more pollution (PA)
This is a letter published in the Echo this week:
Do the protesters who keep disrupting our roads realise that the only people that are taking any notice of them is the police and people that are trying to get to work.
Do they also realise that causing long tailbacks of traffic is adding to co2 emissions because when a vehicle is idling it actually produces more emissions than when being driven.

Yes, climate change does need to be addressed urgently, but not by disrupting lives, especially when right now we’re all trying to get back to some kind of normality.
