The startling arrogance of Southend West MP David Amess continues.
It is superb that Jegs has risen from the ashes of the fire which destroyed its depot.
However, getting the grinning Mr Amess to cut the ribbon (June 2) only demonstrates, yet again, his complete contempt for his electorate.
He is quite content to attend a publicity stunt which attempts to project him as the sympathetic MP, but refuses to attend any sort of “question time”
where taxpayers might ask him how he justifies the amount of their money he shovels into his bank account.
Come on Mr Amess, do the decent thing and have a public meeting so you can answer a few of your electorates’ questions.
