WE go to Burton Albion tomorrow and they’ve had a fantastic home record this season.

Only Bradford and Cheltenham have won more matches at their own grounds this term.

And we’re fully aware of the size of the task we’re facing this weekend.

We’ve already won at some difficult places in the past few months though and we will be looking to do that again tomorrow.

Winning at Dagenham, last time out, was also a very good result because they had been in really good form before playing us.

They had won five of their last seven games and hadn’t conceded a goal in their last four home matches so to win there 3-0 was very good.

We scored very early on and sometimes that doesn’t always work in your favour.

But, credit to the players, because they were very professional from the first minute to the last in order to get a good result.

Gavin Tomlin continued his rich vein of form with another couple of goals and he can’t seem to stop scoring at the moment which is fantastic to see.

Alongside him, Britt Assombalonga was fantastic as well and he contributes to the team brilliantly even when he isn’t scoring goals.

It’s been hard to try and get that through to Britt because he’s all been all about getting goals and he worries when they start to dry up.

However, I told him after the Dagenham game that he had played very well and hopes he takes that on board.

Unfortunately, he got quite a bad injury towards the end of the game and it was frustrating because I was just about to take him off anyway.

At this stage we’re not sure if he will be fit or not for the game at Burton and a late decision will be made on his fitness.

But we also have to decide whether or not to freshen things up due to the number of games we’ve been playing or whether or not to stay with the same side because of the good results.

It’s a real dilemma at this stage of the season and something we will be giving plenty of thought to in the next few days.

We want to pick up more good results but I’m not really too keen to discuss unbeaten records or anything like that because I think that’s the kiss of death if I’m honest.

We will just focus on our next game and right now that’s Burton.

Behind the scenes, we’re still working at trying to extend Marc Laird’s and Tamika Mkandawire’s loan spells with us because they’ve both been fantastic for us.

At the moment we remain in discussions with the clubs and the players’ agents to find what we think is the best solution for all parties.

Hopefully something can be sorted out and we can continue to pick up good results.

That would keep the fans happy and I thought they were fantastic again at Dagenham on Boxing Day.

We had almost 1,400 supporters there which was fantastic and it made a huge difference to us.

It would be great if as many fans as possible also travelled to Burton this weekend and it would be brilliant if we could also get a similar result.
