SOUTHEND United have launched a “Three Game Mini Card” ahead of their final home games.

The Shrimpers are keen to try to fill Roots Hall to ensure a strong finish to the season as they push for promotion out of League Two.

And the club’s chief executive Steve Kavanagh hopes the mini card, which is priced at £50 for adults, will help to attract bigger attendances.

“We have three very important games left at Roots Hall between now and the end of the season that will have a big say in terms of where we end up in the table,” said Kavanagh.

“This offer will hopefully attract supporters for all three matches and help us to fill Roots Hall for the games against AFC Wimbledon, Accrington Stanley and Burton Albion on the final day of the season.

“The support has been fantastic so far this season and the games against York City and Portsmouth emphasise just how good an atmosphere can be created at Roots Hall.

“With three straight wins making it six games unbeaten, the team have built up that all-important momentum and hopefully will be able to keep that going with your support against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

“Anyone who does take up the offer will receive the same benefits as season card holders, should we reach the play-offs come the end of the season.”

Blues face AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, kick-off 3:07pm, before Accrington Stanley and Burton Albion also visit Roots Hall.

Fans will be able to save money by purchasing the mini card, rather than paying for each match individually.

With Phil Brown’s side currently sat sixth in League Two with five games remaining, the three home games will prove crucial in deciding where the club finishes this season.

The offer means adults will be able to watch the final three games for £50, while senior, student, young person and disabled supporters will be able to for £30.

Fans aged between nine and 16 can watch the three games for £20, while under-8 supporters will pay just £5.

The offer will be available right up until kick-off on Saturday.
