Both Rayleigh and Great Wakering warmed up for the Knock Out Cup Final with wins this week in the Southend Evening Cricket League.

In reply Canewdon were always struggling to match such a large total although A Barker (30) and R Eighteen (30) battled well but finished well short at 73-8 off 12 overs.
Meanwhile, Great Wakering got the better of Eastwood.
Rankins and Civic Centre played out the first tie of the season.
Rankins batted first and totalled 120 for 5 off 12 overs, with Luke Bunce (40), Laurence Ives (27) and Joe Robbins (24) all contributing. Chris Lawes and C Enderby both took two wickets.
In reply, Civic Centre with A Richards (39), G Norfolk (32) and D Colwill (29) took the total to 120-5 in 12 overs with the points shared.
Emersons enjoyed a close win over Rayleigh Fairview by just nine runs.
Batting first, Emersons scored 109-6 off 12 overs with Osbourne (25) and Dan Lawson (18 not out) leading the scoring. Hayward took 2-27 off four overs.
Despite Adam Keating making 31, Osbourne proved too good for most batsman taking six for 28 off three overs and Rayleigh Fairview fell just short being all out for 100 in 11.5 overs.
