BASILDON ended a run of three successive defeats by beating struggling Old Cooperians 19-10 at their Gardiners Close base.
Tries came from Sam Ridley, Jamie White and Ben White with Ridley kicking two conversions.
Basildon are now ninth in the table, one place below South Woodham Ferrers who were beaten 24-8 to Campion.
