A NEW competition heralded Malcolm Reynolds’ driving in as The Rayleigh Club’s new captain.
Reynolds had a 1970’s rock theme to mark the start of his year in office and the driving in was marked by the Rayleigh Club Trophy, a team event played in a Texas Scramble format.
The winning team was Ted Wisby, Ricky Lee, Neil Perrin and Richard Woodley with a net score of 56 (off scratch).
Second place was settled on count-back with Paul Spencer, George William-son, Darrell Aziz and Steve Jones recording a net score of 59.9 (off 2.1).
Third place went to Phil Cherry, Malcolm Mackintosh, Steve Green and Colin Mitchell off 4.1.
The ladies played their November Midweek Stabledford on Tuesday over nine holes.
Division One was won by Tracy Sutton with 17 points, while Gill Healey won Division Two with 13 points.
