SEEVIC College will not be short of support for tomorrow’s under 18 vase final, according to their powerful prop forward Will Weston.

The 17-year-old is eagerly anticipating taking to the field at Twickenham against Churcher’s College.

And he believes the number of fans also make the trip will make the match even more memorable.

“There’s a real buzz around the whole college about it all and last time I checked we already had seven coaches of students booked up to come along watch to the game,” said Weston.

“I’ve also got 10 or 15 of my relatives coming along and it all makes the day extra special.

“I’m really excited about it all but I’m also very eager for it to start now too.”

Weston has played a key part in helping Seevic reach the final.

And standing at six foot three inches tall and weighing more than 16 stone, he also displays the kind of physicality Seevic will be bringing into the game.

“We’re the most physical team going and Churcher’s won’t have seen anything like us before,” said Weston.

“Mark Williams is a very well respected strength and conditioning coach and he does a good few sessions with us every week which has really helped us to develop.

“We look really good physically and we should be able to dominate them.”

That would result in Seevic securing a never to be forgotten victory in a final they started to target when their form began to improve midway through the campaign.

“At the start of the season we were a group of good players but now we’re more of a team and we’ve done really well,” said Weston, who also plays for Westcliff under 18s.

“Making this final was always a real aspiration of ours and now it’s become a reality which is really nice.

“Twickenham is the home of rugby so it’s going to be a great experience and this will stay with us for the rest of our lives.”
