SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown expects Kevan Hurst to recover in time to take on Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on Monday night.
Hurst missed Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Swindon Town with a hamstring problem.
But Brown believes the winger will soon be back in action.
“We’re looking at a week to 10 days out for Kevan and he could be available again on Monday so it’s nothing too serious,” said Brown.
“Kevan had hamstring problems last season as well so we’ve looked at one or two things and he’s cut down on his travelling.
“He’s played in all three of the league games he’s been fit for this season and he’s at the age now where he does need to be playing.”
