STEPHEN McLaughlin has expressed his delight at returning to Southend United on a permanent basis.
The Irish winger, who ended last season on loan with the Shrimpers from Nottingham Forest, has signed a three year deal with the League One newcomers.
And McLaughlin is thrilled to be back at Roots Hall.
“It’s taken a while but I’m really happy to be back here,” said the 25-year-old.
“I feel as though I have a fair chance of playing which is what I need and I already know all the lads so it’s great to be with them again.
“I feel fit and I’m ready to go, starting with the Coventry game on Monday.”
