GK – Josh Vickers: I have never played with anyone that I was so certain could make it at the top level. Great shot stopper, communicates well, commands his area, good distribution – all at a young age. Added to that he is a top lad.

RB – Ashley Miller: He joined Concord the same time as me after we spent time at Stortford together. Tenacious defender who loves getting forward and does it well. Stopped many a tricky winger in our time together but apparently struggled against David Beckham when at West Ham because he 'smelt so good!'

LB – Danny Glozier: Having Gloz in a changing room can have such a positive impact on a club’s season, as we found at Concord and Tilbury are finding now. I’ve only ever seen him miss one penalty and, other than a run of three games where he couldn't keep the ball on the pitch, he has been a model of consistency at every level he has played.

CB – Harlee Dean: Had a short spell together at Bishop’s Stortford. Even at 17/18 he was an imposing defender who who equally as strong on the ball while playing in midfield. He is now a regular at Brentford and looks every bit the quality that you need at that level.

CB – John Easterford: We have played with and against each other since we were 18 and he would get in my team purely because he would throw his head into a tackle with someone's feet. Dangerous at set pieces and great in the changing room.

CM – Nicky Cowley: Another entry based on character and the impact he can have on a dressing room. Had a win at all cost attitude but, contrary to popular belief, was actually a very good footballer. We would row every game over the smallest details but we both seemed to play better because of it.

CM – Lyle Taylor: I played with Lyle in my first year at Concord and his goals helped get us promoted to the Ryman Premier. Pace to burn and full of tricks, he wasn't always the easiest of players to have around, and I'm sure he would be the first to admit that, but his talent has served him well in England and Scotland.

CM – James White: I’ve spent over half my career with the big man and I've never played with or against anyone with better feet. He gets better and better and is now scoring which is something that was missing from his game. A complete midfielder.

ST – Sam Higgins: I played with Sammy at Stortford and Concord. For whatever reason he didn't quite get on at Concord but in spite of this he still got a lot of goals and over the years his goal scoring record speaks for itself. Almost impossible to get the ball off him in games, he has great distribution and is an unbelievable finisher. Should be in anyone's team who has played with him.

ST – Tony Stokes: Some of the things this man has done in games and training are just beyond belief. Can find the goal from almost anywhere on the pitch and did a great job when needed to drop into midfield and have a battle. Another with great feet but always ran with a parachute and caravan attached to his back!

ST – Ben Greenhalgh: I hate putting him in as his ego is already big enough but his delivery on set pieces is second to none. I’ve played with him at Welling and now at Concord, he has great feet, pace and he used to be able to find the top corner from most free-kicks, but is now taking lessons from James White.
