SOUTHEND Manor finished their heavy defeat to Sawbridgeworth Town with eight men.
Three Manor players were sent off in a heated contest which saw the hosts run out 5-1 winners.
Gavin Cockman gave Sawbridgeworth a second minute lead, before Lewis Dreamer doubled their lead 12 minutes later.
Cockman added his second and Sawbridgeworth’s third just before half time to give Stuart Marshall’s side a mountain to climb.
George Crispin grabbed a consolation goal for ten-man Manor just past the hour mark, but another red card allowed Sawbridgeworth to add to their tally.
Joe Wright claimed the home side’s fourth goal of the day on 80 minutes, while Toby Cleaver completed the scoring in the final moments.
A third red card rounded off a miserable afternoon for Marshall’s side.
The heavy defeat saw Manor miss out on the chance to close the gap on league leaders Barking.
Second placed Manor are now four points adrift of the Essex Senior League frontrunners.
