THORPE Hall Golf Club’s February Bogey competition was keenly contested, as 59 members took part.
Matt Capps took top spot in Division One.
Alex Barnetson claimed the runners-up position, ahead of Bobby Platts on countback.
Viravong Hongphakdy took first place in Division Two, while Grant Greatrex came second. Both players have since had their handicap reduced by one.
In the Veterans’ February Stableford, Peter Goy amassed 43 points to take first, ahead of second placed Andrew Gray on 42. Goy and Gray have had their handicaps reduced by two.
Hayes victorious in Belfairs contest
BELFAIRS Golf Club members contested single bogey competitions and Tony Hayes took the honours on Saturday.
Mary Gopy and Chris Shawyer were just off the pace to seal second and third place respectively.
In Sunday’s event, Nigel Warder performed well to come out on top, while Baz Patel and Alex Tindell took second and third.
