FOUR first half goals allowed Concord Rangers to safely advance into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup.

The Beach Boys went into the tie having suffered six consecutive National League South defeats.

But Khale Da Costa, Billy Roast, Kyron Farrell and Lewis Knight got on the scoresheet as Adam Flanagan's side saw off Tunbridge Wells and claimed a 4-0 win.

The visitors travelled to the Aspect Arena on a high after equalling their best ever run in the competition.

Concord had been knocked out at this stage in each of the last two seasons, but their nerves were settled inside three minutes.

Da Costa opened the scoring after ghosting in at the back post to head home a deep cross.

And the hosts were able to double their lead just six minutes later.

Roast, who joined in the summer from Isthmian North side Maldon & Tiptree, doubled the lead with a magnificent volley from 20 yards which left Tunbridge Wells goalkeeper Chris Oladogba diving in despair.

Flanagan's charges were out of sight just past the quarter of an hour mark.

Farrell took control of a loose ball before crashing home with his left foot.

The goal of the game came seven minutes before half-time, as Knight scored what is sure to be a goal of the season contender.

With the ball falling for Knight just outside the penalty area, he chested the ball down and volleyed a perfect thunderbolt into the top corner to wrap up the scoring.

Although Concord continued to create chances in the second half, they were content with four goals.

And having already booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup and avoided an upset, the Beach Boys took their foot off the gas.

Flanagan will be hoping that his side's clinical first half performance will help to improve their National League South form.
