SIMON Cox will be aiming to complete a century of League goals when Southend United host Oldham Athletic tomorrow.
Cox’s goal against Oxford United was the 99th of his career in the League and the striker wants to make it to three figures with a decisive goal this weekend.
“Getting to 100 League goals will be pleasing but I want it to be one that’s part of a win,” said Cox.
“The 100th goal of my career was the winner against Rochdale and it would be great if the 100th League goal was the winner as well, although maybe just not so late in the game.”
Victory tomorrow would take the Shrimpers up to ninth in the standings and Cox is determined to triumph.
“It’s our game in hand and we need the three points to get closer to those above us,” he added.
