Gloucester City 1-0 Concord Rangers
(William 88’ (p))
From the Jubilee Stadium
National League South
CONCORD Rangers conceded a last-gasp goal to Gloucester City as their poor recent away form continued.
Gloucester were below the Beach Boys in the standings but were creating the early opportunities.
The best chance was Sam Avery’s but his header was sent over the crossbar.
Lewis Hall sent a strike down the throat of Louis Wells who was certainly the busier goalkeeper.
A strike from Harry Williams flew past the post before Harry Williams again tested Wells.
But it was a game not high on quality as both searched for that all important breakthrough.
Gloucester thought they had taken the lead shortly after half-time but Tom Webb’s effort was ruled off for offside.
Manny Ighorae made his return after 18 months out with injury on a bright note for Concord before Gloucester struck.
Tow minutes from time Gloucester were awarded a penalty and Ed Williams converted to hand the home team the victory.
Concord Rangers: Wells, Girdlestone, Brown, Farrell, Knight, Roast, Da Costa, Nasha (King 78’), Akinwande (Ighorae 74’), Cawley, Freeman
