KURT Pottle, 15, and pal Matt Herbert enjoyed a fantastic session on the long arm at Doggetts this weekend.

Pottle, fishing eclipse baits, landed five mirrors weighing 16,17,17.5 and 18lbs.

And, if that wasn't enough, he proceeded to capture a staggering 31.5 lbs mirror (see Pic) .Doggetts has now produced two different 30 pounders in two weeks.

And, if those five fish weren't enough, Pottle also lost three more good fish.

Fishing partner Herbert also lost three scrappy carp, but did manage to land three different 17lb mirrors.

Enjoying the school holidays, Stuart Paton and younger brother Craig fished two sessions at the Rochford venue.

Stuart landed mirrors of 11 and 23lb while Craig 13 did well to capture a very pretty 15lb mirror.

Two more local anglers landed their first Doggetts carp this week.

Charlie Lane had an 18lb mirror while fishing colleague Adam Williams was pleased with his mirror that weighed in at 16.5 lbs.

Both anglers fished a night on the North Bank Regular.

Joe Crow had a night on the double swim on the South Bank and was kept very busy with 16 tench plus mirrors.

The previous night bailiff Gary Vandagen had fished the same swim, landing three mirrors to 22lb plus a 15lb common.

Mick Freeman did well to land a scrappy little common from the back pool, which topped his brother Lewis.

The latter managed to lose his only fish of the day whilst stalking the margins.

A few nice crucian showed this week along with some very sensible perch which fell to red maggots in the back pool.

The tench were very co-operative during the later part of the week with plenty of bream being landed from most parts of the lake.
