SOUTHEND United defender Harry Lennon suffered a fractured big toe during Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Doncaster Rovers.
The injury came during the centre-back’s debut for the Shrimpers.
But Lennon – who joined from Charlton Athletic in the summer – is keen to work his way back to full fitness as quickly as possible.
Lennon tweeted: “Unfortunately suffered a fracture in my big toe at the start of the second half on Saturday which will put me out for a while. Will do everything possible to get back playing ASAP.”
John White is favourite to replace Lennon in the starting line-up at Plymouth Argyle this weekend.
The seriousness of Lennon’s injury will become apparent in the next 48 hours.
