SUPERSTAR gymnast Max Whitlock will begin his quest for more glory in Glasgow today.
Whitlock - who is based in Basildon - won five medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland before being crowned pommel horse World Champion a year later at the same venue.
And Whitlock’s coach Scott Hann is now keen for Whitlock to pick up more medals at the European Championships.
“Glasgow is a special place for Max and it is for me too so hopefully we can add to the memories this week,” said Hann.
“The set-up is the same and we were reminiscing in the tunnel where we made a last minute decision to change Max’s pommel routine which helped him to become the first British male World Champion.”
Whitlock will compete on floor and pommel in Glasgow.
