SOUTHEND United midfielder Noor Husin may need an operation to cure his shin injury.
Husin has missed the last four matches for the Shrimpers.
And Blues boss Kevin Maher is still waiting to see if the 27-year-old will need surgery in the summer.
“Noor has seen a specialist but now he’s got to see someone else about it,” said Maher.
“If it needs an operation in the summer to fix it then the sooner that happens the better.
“We’ve managed him and I don’t want to put him in when he’s still feeling something.
“We’ve got to be careful until we get the full diagnosis.
“We will wait but it may need an operation, we’re not sure just yet.”
Husin again looks set to miss out for the Shrimpers against AFC Fylde this weekend along with defender Adam Crowther who has a calf problem.
"He's not trained yet so he will probably be out," added Maher.
