WESTCLIFF Lions secured a hard-fought 38-29 win over Braintree 2nd XV.
The sides shared 67 points between them and the lead changed hands several times before Westcliff finally made their power and finishing tell and emerge as winners.
Jon Sigwart led the way with two excellent tries. Dashiel Allum, Brad Dunsford, Pat Redding and Aaron Lewis scored one each and Graham Cox (2), Sigwart and Pat Redding landed conversions.
