RYMAN ONE NORTH: Concord Rangers joint boss Danny Scopes was delighted to be named as Ryman One North manager of the month for February.
He said: “Although I’m the one named, it’s very much an award for my joint manager Danny Cowley and myself.
“In fact both of use regard it as an honour for the club as a whole rather than individuals.
“It’s a tribute to how well we’ve done since winning the Essex Senior League last season that we’ve got this award.”
It’s been a good week for the Thames Road club who, on Tuesday, earned an Essex Senior Cup final spot against Chelmsford City with a 2-1 win at Redbridge. The Canvey side are very much in the play-off mix and that remains their main ambition with tough games looming at Ware tomorrow and Enfield Town next Tuesday.
Said Scopes: “Getting through to the County Cup final is a massive bonus and a date we’ll look forward to.
“But we’re concentrating on the league for now. We’re only four points off the play-offs and want to stay involved as long as possible.”
