WESTCLIFF ended a run of miserable results with a 17-3 win over Ruislip yesterday.
The Aviation Way based club went into Saturday's meeting on the back of nine games without a win in London Two North.
But they finally got back to winning ways in style against fifth placed Ruislip.
A run of a different kind also came to an end for Rochford Hundred yesterday in London Three North East as they lost 10-5 at Sudbury.
Hundred, who are top of the league, had won 11 games in a row but they remain four points clear.
Thurrock were more successful as they won 22-16 at Enfield Ignatians, while in London Four North East Canvey Island triumphed 18-3 at Crusaders.
South Woodham Ferrers beat Dagenham 21-5 but Basildon were beaten 17-15 at home to Upminster and Billericay lost 29-11 to Colchester.
Full report and reaction in Tuesday's rugby round-up.
