CLUB members were out in force for their annual Spring Meeting.
The course was beautifully prepared for the day and looking spectacular. The weather was less favourable and, although dry, was blustery and the sun only shone briefly in the afternoon. The ladies were undeterred, however, and six ladies played under their handicap on the day!
The overall winner of the 18-hole stableford competition was Alison Cotgrove (20) with 42 points – her handicap now being reduced to 18. In second place was Sue Knowles (15) with 40 points – her handicap is now 13. Third place went to Liz McNamara (36) with 39 points.
The scratch prize winner was lady captain Lucille Palmer-Moth with 25 points.
In the afternoon nine-hole three ball "waltz" Stableford competition, the winners on the front nine were Jill James, Diane Taylor and Pat Ball with 39 points. On the back nine winners with 41 points were Sue Knowles, Joanne Ellis-Bailey and Penny Shiret.
All the ladies returned to the clubhouse for the presentation dinner in the evening.
