Premier Division: Basildon & Pitsea suffered a 148-run defeat at home to Hornchurch. The visitors posted 267-5 and then bowled their hosts out for 119 in reply.

There was an eight-wicket win for Orsett III at home to Hutton. Hutton posted 154 all out from 46.2 overs with one batsman hitting 42 and Daniel Sedano 39 as Robert Pavitt claimed 5-22.

Mark Pavitt led the run chase with an unbeaten 62 and found support from Ben Smith (38) and Paul Howlett (34) as Orsett replied with 157-2 from 25.3 overs.

Other result: Upminster V (159-6) bt Ardleigh Green (158) by 4 wickets, Fives & Heronians 126) bt Harold Wood (120) by 6 runs, Hainault & Clayhall (246-6) drew with South Woodford (219-8).

Division One: Southend on Sea hosted Benfleet at Victory Sports and beat their visitors by 145 runs.

Craig Carter (82) was in form for Southend, but 59 extras helped the Seasiders’ cause as they were bowled out for 185 from 49 overs.

Mark Acraman (3-11), Aaron Acraman (2-16) and John Hearn (2-34) got among the wickets.

Benfleet struggled with the bat as no batsman got into double figures in their innings of 40 all out from 21.4 overs. Simon Wray (6-16) and Jeffrey Wood (4-19) divided the wickets between them.

Billericay hosted Hadleigh & Thundersley and fought out a draw.

Hadleigh were put in to bat and saw D Lee (77) lead the way as they posted 275-8 declared from 52 overs.

Steve Rhoods was the batting star for Billericay, as his 69 helped them to 190-5 off 44 overs in reply.

Stanford le Hope III lost by 57 runs at home to Walthamstow. David Elliott (42), Qaasim Hussain (39) and Jake Stafford (31) were the main men for Walthamstow as they posted 189 all out from 37 overs.

Harry Cook took 4-20, Benjamin Tarten 2-60 and Jonathan Fuller 2-30. Robert Pearn (36) and extras (23) were the only scores above 20 as Stanford were bowled out for 132 off 52.2 overs, with Solly Mirza (4-42) leading the attack.

Horndon were unable to raise a side to face Chingford, so their visitors won by default.

Division Two: Leigh on Sea went to West Essex and left Rolls Sportsground with a 102-run victory. John Monk (82), Mark Aggurs (71) and Tom Boughtwood (48) were the leading lights as Leigh posted 260-4 declared off 47 overs after opting to bat. The wickets were divided between four bowlers before West Essex were all out for 158 off 31.1 overs in reply.

Boughtwood completed a good day's work with 5-34 and Paul Sibley took 3-8 as Omar Afsal (24) top-scored for West Essex.

Wickford were beaten by 10 wickets away to Wanstead V. Philip Jones (13) and Steven Green (11) were the only Wickford batsmen to reach double figures as the visitors were bowled out for 51 from 28.3 overs, largely thanks to Aron Nijjar (6-5). Ewan Ferguson (23no), Andrew Osborn (17no) and 12 extras helped Wanstead to 52-0 off 16.3 overs.

Division Three East: Billericay hosted Old Southendian & South-church at the Selex ground and won by 54 runs. J Barrett hit 61 for Billericay as they posted 194 all out for 46.2 overs after opting to bat.

K Paternoster claimed 5-28 as Old Southendian were all out for 140 from 29.2 overs in reply.

Leigh travelled to Brentwood and won by a wicket. Shreyas Moorti (41) top-scored for Brentwood before they were bowled out for 229 from 39.1 thanks to Joshal Patel (4-33) and Paul Boughtwood (4-44). Opener Trevor Bull hit 105 as Leigh replied with 230-9 from 46.2 overs, with Jonathon Hilliard taking 3-24.

Orsett visied Chelmsford and drew. Liam Keaney hit 96 before the hosts were bowled out for 257 off 47 overs as Brian Lawless (2-25), Terry Pound (2-61) and George Gibbon (2-58) got a brace each.

Paul Boreham (56) and Bradley Boreham (38) anchored the reply, which reached 212-5 from 50 overs as Mark Coups took 3-20. Belhus were due to host Stanford le Hope at Hall Lane, Upminster, but the pitch was double-booked, which meant Stanford won by default.

Other result: Chingford bt Harlow as Harlow were unable to raise a side.

Division Three West: Harold Wood (238) drew with Old Parkonians (204-9), Wanstead (171-1) bt Ilford (168) bt 9 wickets, Loughton (197-5) drew with Hornchurch (176-3), Colchester & East Essex (93-5) bt Brentwood (91), Ardleigh Green (209-8) bt Hainault & Clayhall (207-8) by 2 wickets.
