THE men played the midweek medal at Thorpe Hall, the highlight of which was the net 68 of Paul King, off four handicap.

One of the stars of the club’s Thornton Cup team, he has had his handicap reduced to three.

In second place was Mickey Davis, with a net 71 off 11 handicap, who has gone down to 10 handicap. Third was Rocco Forgione, with a 72 off 25 and he has been cut to 24 handicap.

The June Stableford figures have now become available and the division one winner as well as winning the Grandfather’s Tank-ard, as was reported last week, was Peter Goy, with 39 points and he was cut from 12 to 11.

Second was Louie Higgon, with 37 points, and he has been been cut from six to five.

Division two was won by Ken Coatalan, also with 39 points, and he has been cut to 14 handicap. Runner-up was Richard Wilson, with 38 points off 20 handicap.

This week Thorpe Hall are staging their two captain’s days.

The ladies were in action today and the men on Sunday. The course is closed on both days and will be in excellent condition for what are the most important days in the club’s year.
