HORNDON on the Hill are bottom of the Premier League table following their first defeat of the season.

The club have only played two matches so far and lost by 95 runs at home to Ardleigh Green.

The visitors collected 18 points to Horndon’s two after posting 215-6 and then bowling out their hosts for 120.

East Division leaders Stanford le Hope made it six wins out of seven with a 52-run win at home to sixth-placed Billericay.

Stanford posted 214-6 and then bowled out their visitors for 162 to pick up 18 points to Billericay’s four.

The leaders are four points ahead of Chelmsford, who visited fourth-placed Hadleigh & Thundersley and beat them by nine wickets.

Hadleigh were bowled out for 224 and claimed one wicket as Chelmsford replied with 225-1 to get 18 points to Hadleigh's four.

Westcliff on Sea closed the gap on Pegasus & Corrintham to four points after beating their visitors by six wickets.

Westcliff are 11th and Pegasus 10th after the former posted 85-4 in reply to Pegs’ 84 all out. Westclliff got 18 points and Pegs none.
