FRANCIS Laurent has been taking a lot of stick this week about his new haircut.

It’s quite hard to explain but I can only guess that he didn’t have enough money to get it finished as it only seems to be half done.

He’s tried to copy the style of his big buddy Jeff (Jean-Francois Christophe) who has a bit of a Mr T mohawk going on at the moment.

But Francis’ is only half of one and he needs to go back because it’s terrible.

The lads have been hammering him and he’s been very quiet!

ORIENT WIN WAS CRUCIAL

IT was a big result for us against Leyton Orient on Friday night because we needed to get our first win of the season.

Lee Barnard hit the headlines with his goals and again showed if you create chances for him then he will put them away.

It was pleasing to see him score a hat-trick, but I’m not sure how he’s claiming it because the third one was definitely an own goal!

It would be rude to let it pass without mentioning my cross for the second goal. My right leg is normally just for standing on so I was happy to be able to set up Barney — much to the surprise of my team-mates.

I think they feared the worst when they saw it was me in the right wing position and were probably running back into their positions expecting to defend a goal-kick!

ATMOSPHERE WILL BE ELECTRIC TOMORROW

IT is one of the biggest games of the season for us tomorrow as we host Leeds United at Roots Hall.

There always seems to be a great atmosphere when we play them and I understand that around 9,000 tickets have already been sold so I’m sure it will be the same this time too.

Playing the game on a Friday night makes it even better for us and we always like playing on the eve of the weekend.

I particularly enjoy it and it has the makings of a good night because Leeds are a massive club are we always look forward to the games with them.

They have been on fire so far this season —winning all of their matches so far.

That says it all about the size of the task we are facing.

But we fear nobody, especially at home.

We think we can beat anyone at Roots Hall and we go into the game agaiunst Leeds in good shape after winning so convincingly against Leyton Orient last week.
