SOUTHEND United's youth team suffered a 5-3 defeat against Queen's Park Rangers in the Youth Alliance Cup at Boots and Laces yesterday.
Blues led 3-1 at the break with two goals from Kyle Asante and another from Jamie Dennis but the Londoners hit back in the second period.
Both teams also missed a penalty.
