WE’VE welcomed Scott Spencer into the club this week.

And just like any other new boy he’s been getting a bit of stick.

Some of the lads think he looks like Screech from Saved by the Bell which I don’t mind because that’s a show from back in my day.

For once I know who they’re talking about but being 20 poor old Scotty probably doesn’t.

It has been suggested that he should sing the show’s theme tune when he has to get up and perform on our next away trip but I doubt he knows it.

But we’re looking forward to him singing, whatever song he goes for, and it’s good to have him here with us until the end of the season.

FRUSTRATION AT WALSALL POSTPONEMENT

It was frustrating that the Walsall game was called off last weekend but hopefully the game at Huddersfield Town will be on this Saturday.

I’ve spoken to Peter Clarke this week already and he’s quite confident it will go ahead because they have under-soil heating there.

I’ve stayed in touch with Clarkey since he left and it will be good to see him again.

Our friendship will of course go out the window once the game starts and it will be a very hard match for us.

Huddersfield spent quite a lot of money during the summer and are having a good season which was to be expected.

They’re challenging for promotion and have a good home record.

But we did well against them on the opening day of the season and, even though our team has changed a bit since then, our aim is to do well again and build on the win at Leyton Orient.
