IT’S local derby time again on Monday night as we go to Colchester United and it’s a massive game again for both clubs.

Colchester are pushing for promotion while we’re still fighting for everything too and it has all the makings of another good game between the clubs.

I’ve been involved in a few of these derbies now and I love them, so I’m looking forward to the latest game and it would be superb to go there and cause an upset.

It won’t be easy because Colchester are having a good season and the pitch there isn’t the best right now.

It doesn’t have any grass in some areas but we’re going there in pursuit of three points and in good spirits after our good late fight-back against Swindon Town last weekend secured what could be a valuable point for the club.

We showed tremendous character to score twice in the last five minutes and we will need to show fight like that against Colchester.

IT'S TIME FOR TERRY TO STEP DOWN AS ENGLAND SKIPPER

AWAY from Southend United this week, it’s been John Terry hitting the headlines.

He is alleged to have had an extra-marital affair with Vanessa Perroncel, the former girlfriend of his England team-mate Wayne Bridge, and it’s saddened me because I’ve always been a really big fan of JT.

I think he’s let himself down though and it’s disgusting what he’s done.

Being England captain is the biggest honour you can get in the game and you have to behave in the right way.

You have to be squeaky clean and JT has been in the headlines a few times now and for me I really don’t think he can stay as captain of the national side.
