BLUES skipper Craig Easton has spoken of his disappointment at picking up a calf injury.

The Scottish midfielder will be sidelined for at least a month with the problem he sustained against Northampton Town almost a fortnight ago.

And he is frustrated at being forced out of the action.

“It happened in the last five minutes at Northampton and is obviously a blow for me,” said Easton.

“We were just starting to find a settled side as well, so it’s disappointing.”

Easton has been replaced in the starting line-up against Morecambe last weekend by new loan signing Michael Timlin.

But he was unable to prevent Blues suffering a 3-2 defeat, much to the frustration of Easton.

“We’re all gutted with the result and the way we lost the three goals in a game where we once again had most of the play,” said the former Swindon Town man.

“When we equalised at the start of the second half, there looked like there was only going to be one winner.

“But Morecambe caught us on the counter-attack and unfortunately we couldn’t respond like we did after their first two goals.”
