BARRY Corr wants to right the wrongs of last weekend at Hereford United tomorrow.

Despite hitting the back of the net, the Irish striker was disappointed by his display in last Saturday’s 3-2 at home to Morecambe And he is determined to make amends.

“I set myself standards and I didn’t reach them last week,” said Corr, 25.

“I didn’t hold the ball up as well as I should’ve done or win enough headers either.

“I was pretty bad and I know that.

“The manager does too and I won’t let myself have another performance like that.

“Scoring a goal covered up a bad performance from me and it’s been in my head ever since.

“I’m desperate to get out there again and I feel like running to Hereford right now to play because I want to put things right.”

Corr is likely to face even more competition for a place in the starting line-up as manager Paul Sturrock is close to signing another striker on loan.

That does not concern the former Swindon Town forward though and he instead remains focused on improving his own form.

“It’s up to the manager what he does and he can bring him who he likes but I’ll be looking to get in the team every week,” said Corr.

“I don’t know why it went wrong last weekend but we all want to play much better against Hereford and get all three points.”
