IT’S Shelford away tomorrow and that will see us locking horns with tight-head prop James Armitage who we had playing for us last season.

He did a good job for us before deciding to join his home-town club so it will be a good tussle against him and the rest of the side because I’m sure they will again be strong at home.

We drew there last season and also go in to this game on the back of a draw after last weekend’s game with Ealing which ended 32-32.

We didn’t play well in the first half and didn’t play with our usual attacking style of rugby either but that changed in the second half.

That resulted in us scoring three tries after the break to get a draw and we did well to get back in to the game.

At the same time it was disappointing not to have won but their kicker was fantastic and managed to score all eight of his kicks.

That obviously made a big difference but we learnt a lot from the game and what we now need to do so hopefully that can make a difference tomorrow and we can get a good result.

MEET THE PLAYERS

Danny Cleare

Danny is a very natural try scorer but he’s nicknamed Grey-am by the rest of the lads due to the light colour of his complexion!
