BILLERICAY boss Craig Edwards says he is delighted to have signed striker James Lawson from local rivals Concord, who they play at New Lodge on Tuesday evening.

Edwards was speaking to the Echo following his side's 3-1 win at Carshalton Athletic - a result which moved them into fourth in the Ryman Premier.

CANVEY moved into striking range of the play-off places with a 1-0 win over Folkestone Invicta, but manager John Batch said it’s too early to read anything in to the Ryman Premier table.

And CONCORD’S six-game unbeaten run in the league came to an end as they lost a tight game to Hornchurch.

Two goals early in the second-half settled a game which Hornchurch finished with ten men.
