Westcliff continue their charge for promotion with a trip to Letchworth Garden City tomorrow.

The Aviation Way based club are currently 13 points clear at the top of the London One North table, having won 19 of their 20 games this term.

But Westcliff’s director of rugby Bob Smith is taking nothing for granted against their ninth placed hosts.

“Letchworth have improved in the last few weeks and have won their last three games so we will certainly be respecting them at the weekend,” said Smith.

“At the same time, if we go there and play like we have been doing then we should have enough to win “We’ve been successful this season and we go in to the game after what was a very good victory over a strong Thurrock side.”

Westcliff have an injury doubt over their top try scorer - winger Paul Radley - who has scored 25 tries already this season but they have Jack Jones returning at full-back after he played for England Colleges.

Matt Meakin is also available and looks set to play in the back row.

Also in London One North, sixth placed Thurrock face another of their Essex rivals as they head to Colchester, who are currently third.

Table-topping Rochford Hundred are pushing for promotion from London Two North East and they host Saffron Walden tomorrow.

Hundred are currently a point clear and will be wanting to push nearer a return to London One North with a win over their seventh placed visitors.

They go in to the game in a confident frame of mind after beating Canvey Island 27-12 last weekend.

The Islanders will now be looking to bounce back when they host ninth placed Beccles.

Bu the most important and crucial clash comes in London Three North East this weekend as second placed Basildon entertain leaders Lowestoft and Yarmouth.

Basildon are four points behind their rivals but also have a game in hand and will be desperate to triumph tomorrow.

Billericay will also be wanting to win when they host Clacton in Essex One.

Billericay, who are sixth, have won their last six outings and will want to make it seven against the team just below them in the table.
