STUART Bingham continued his incredible form with a thumping 5-1 win over Tom Ford to book his spot at the Shanghai Masters, The man from Vange rattled in breaks of 103, 107 and 111 on his way to victory in a final qualifying round match at a quite venue in Sheffield.

Bingham, 35, also beat Ford en route to winning his first ranking event last month when he triumphed over Mark Williams in the final to lift the Australian Snooker Goldfields Open.

Now he will face Romford’s Judd Trump at the next full ranking event in China.

Bingham and Trump, both Essex boys, who regularly practice together, will make the 6,000-mile journey to take part in the £65,000-prize money competition in early September.

Bingham said: “The win over Tom was quite straight forward and I guess that is because I am playing with so much confidence right now.

“I know Judd well. I haven't spoken to him about it yet but the banter will all probably start when I next see him.”
