MORECAMBE away will be a very difficult game for us tomorrow.

They're a strong, physical and well organised side who made life very hard for us at Roots Hall earlier on in the season.

Just like ourselves they have done better away from home this season and they will certainly be buoyed by the 1-1 draw they got at Crawley on Wednesday night.

If we didn't already know, that confirmed how hard things will be this weekend but it's about what we do that matters most.

First and foremost we need to see a reaction and an improvement to the poor performance at Aldershot Town on Tuesday night.

I've scrutinised that performance closely and, as always, have looked at what I could have done better myself.

In hindsight I think I should've made changes to the starting line-up to give it more freshness but it's always hard to change a winning team.

We had two victories in a row so I kept things virtually the same but we didn't get anywhere near the same kind of performance.

I have also expressed my extreme disappointment about that and I'm mulling a few things over with regard to my team selection for tomorrow.

We have Jack Sampson and Blair Sturrock back in training so they're in my thoughts and I have some other things to be thinking about.

Like I've already said, I am considering making changes but that's with the players we have here at the football club.

A few players have had plenty of opportunities now but I won't finalise my team until the morning of the match.

It's important to get things right because this is a big game and we need to stay in contention with the teams around us at the top.

With that in mind I thought it was important to have a team meeting again this week and I thought it went well.

One or two things came up which we will act on and could help us improve.

But it's all about getting results and we definitely need one at Morecambe tomorrow.

SCOTLAND CONTINUE THE TREND

I'VE been getting a bit of stick this week after the Scotland team called up a couple of players who aren't actually Scottish.

I've been quick to talk about the England rugby and cricket teams turning in to a rest of the world team with players of all different nationalities.

But, if everyone else is doing it, then why shouldn't Scotland!
